Let us rejoice indeed فلنفرح ونحتفل حقا For this is the day of Eid فاليوم هو يوم العيد La ilaha illa Allah (There is no deity but God) لا إله إلا الله Muhammad Rasulullah (Muhammad is the Messenger of God) محمد رسول الله 'Alayhi salatullah (May the salutations of God be upon him) عليه صلاة الله Children are wearing new clothes الأطفال يرتدون ملابس جديدة Bright colours fill the streets والألوان الزاهية تملأ الشوارع Their faces full of laughter وجوههم مليئة بالضحك Their pockets full of sweets وجيوبهم مليئة بالحلوى Mosques are full of worshippers المساجد مليئة بالمصلّين In rows straight and neat في صفوف مستقيمة ومنتظمة Their Lord they remember يذكرون مولاهم His Name they repeat ويرددون اسمه Their hands are raised to the sky أيديهم مرتفعة نحو السماء They supplicate and plead يدعون ويتضرعون “On this blessed day, forgive us!” they entreat ويتوسلون داعين: "ربنا اعف عنا في هذا اليوم المبارك" People are giving charity الناس يتصدقون And helping those in need ويساعدون المحتاجين In giving they're competing ويتسابقون في العطاء Today there is no greed فلا طمع ولا بخل اليوم Enemies embracing each other الأعداء يحتضنون بعضهم بعضا All hatred is buried فكل الكراهية والأضغان قد دُفنت Everyone is celebrating الجميع يحتفلون Greeting everyone they meet ويعيّدون على كل من يقابلونه
